My dear Brothers and Sisters – Greetings of a lovely evening from Kuala Lumpur!

Once again, it’s our time to enjoy the pleasure of one another’s company, to relive the days of old, and to renew and build friendship, sisterhood and brotherhood for the future.

So Brods and Sis, mga Brods especially, ‘cause tonight is our night, I’d like you all to charge your glasses and join me in toasting the MU SIGMA PHI Sisters and SIGMA CHI Brothers, too.

TOAST #1

To our Founder – Brod Tom – we are honored to be SIGMA CHIans and MU SIGMA PHIans, brothers and sisters with a bond, secured, despite the distance and passage of time, we remain dedicated to our brotherhood and sisterhood. Here’s a toast for you for creating this organization for us where we can be our unique selves and also be of service to our fellowmen who are in need, be of service to our communities and society in general and be of support to each other in each other’s endeavor and challenges. CHEERS!

TOAST #2

Here’s to my brothers and sisters, the old and the new. Tonight, we shall laugh, tonight we shall sing, tonight we can do anything!

Here’s to my brothers and sisters, to you, you and you, may we relax, and forget our blues and enjoy this celebration the whole night through. So, raise your glasses whatever drink it may be, to the handsome brothers and lovely sisters, CHEERS!

TOAST #3

Many of us could truthfully say we don’t know what college life would be like without MU SIGMA PHI Sorority & SIGMA CHI Fraternity. This room is full of men and women who are independent, giving, worthy of love and full of life. We are made all the better by the letters we wear, which bind us together in this mystic bond. Cheers to our Founder, for without him, we would have no sisterhood and brotherhood which is the thread that holds all of the unique lives in this room together. CHEERS!

In this room, I am surrounded by sisters and brothers who each hold a special place in my heart. Who continually support each other, morally and emotionally. Without them, this would have been a tougher journey. Thank you for being there. CHEERS!

To the newly elected officers of SIGMA CHI Fraternity and MU SIGMA PHI Sorority and the rest of residents…

This is your time. Your coming together is just a beginning – so I say specially to you, please take time to enjoy this moment. This time is all for you…Breathe in, look at all your fellow resident Brods and Sis and remember this moment all your lives. The 59th Anniversary of MU SIGMA PHI Sorority and you made it here. You are the first generation…virtual generation of SIGMA CHIans and MU SIGMA PHIans. Create your own memories, work together, take pride as you wear your SIGMA CHI and MU SIGMA PHI badges and inspire others, so when other Agustinians see you – they see someone they want to emulate and want to be one, without you asking them to join.

Be brave and lead us to the future, because you are the future of this organization and you have to realize this and we, the ‘older ones’, are confident that you will succeed. Don’t be like us but be better than us. To overcome and triumph the challenges of your time, you have to be a lot better than us. You know so much more than we ever did. You learned so much faster than we ever did and you have so much more awareness than we ever had.

I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again, To every brother and sister, wherever you may be, always remember this, SIGMA CHI Fraternity and MU SIGMA PHI Sorority are far more than 4 or 5 years in college. They are brotherhood and sisterhood that span generations and last for a lifetime.

May the Spirit of the Lord continue to direct all of us.
