In behalf of the SIGMA CHI Fraternity and the MU SIGMA PHI Sorority members based in Iloilo, Metro Manila, and other parts of this Philippines, I would like to congratulate you for spearheading a pioneering ‘get together’ among brothers and sisters who have migrated to the United States “for a greater good.” Having communicated with many of you, I can truly feel the continuing exchanges of the higher values of the love, sharing, and giving among all of you there. These are really extensions of our own fraternal and sisterhood values of scholarship, merit, and purity which were formally announced in 1961 and 1962, the years of our founding in the University of San Agustin.

Although I have yet to actually see the beautiful neon lights of Las Vegas at night, your choice of the venue is uniquely wonderful. Your brotherly ‘bears’ hugs and sisterly ‘kisses’ become more fervent and intimate given the ambience of the flood of lights and display of colors. What a way to see brothers and sisters after all these years! While on vacation, Jun Cordero, Joe Marie Garcia, and Ted Gonzales warmly called me in Toronto, Canada about this significant event. They have set the affair on the 19th to the 21st of October 2007, and Edith Ardiente headed the core planning group. I am sending my personal appreciation to you, brods and sis, and to the many significant others, for having made this decision. With more active networking among the brods and sis in the United States, I am certain of the success of your professionally and fraternally interactive gathering. What I foresee in the meeting of SIGMA CHIans and MU SIGMA PHIans residing in the U.S. Northeastern and Midwestern regions, and in Southern and Northern California. This affair really symbolizes the coming together of the University of San Agustin Alumni Association in the United States. Am I right in saying that the stalwarts of SIGMA CHI and MU SIGMA PHI were the organizing leaders of these associations? If correct, this signifies a solid recognition of the leadership and organization competencies of these members. You must have a really wonderful time this coming autumn. Again, here is my warm and sincere expression of ‘CONGRATULATIONS!’
